Meet the Tellers: Cheri Miller and Franklin Chen
We have been introducing you to the tellers who will be stepping up to the microphone for our April 8th Main Stage Event. Tickets are available and will serve as a fundraiser to help support Storycatchers mission and programing. You can buy your tickets HERE. I received an e-mail from Cheri shortly after putting the requests for tellers out into the universe, pretty sure at that point that the only person who would be interested or show up would be my mom. So imagine my del

Meet the Tellers: Dan Flannery & Ann Koenig
We've had some amazing tellers take to the Storycatchers stage this past year. Some tellers are 'one and done'. Proving to themselves that they can get up in front of strangers and friends and share a little sliver of themselves. We're so grateful that they have. Others are more regular. Pulling out great stories from their pockets that make you wonder what else they've got rattling around in there. I love when one of these tried and true tellers is announced and start to ma

Storycatchers Main Stage Event
Get your tickets here: http://storycatchers.brownpapertickets.com/ We are celebrating our one year anniversary of bringing community stories to the stage in the only way we know how - by bringing even MORE stories your way! We have been absolutely thrilled this past year since the start of our 'Live' event offerings to bring 158 stories to the stage to almost 1,000 audience members. And we've asked back some of our past fan-favorite tellers to take to the stage for a Special

Afterglow: Into the Light
I'd be lying if I said I've been fully able to wrap my head around Saturday night. Thirteen members of our community taking to the stage sharing vulnerable and so, so valuable parts of themselves with us, their community - many, for the first time. I had the distinct pleasure of holding these stories before they were shared, so I went into the night prepared for the way these stories would break us all open in necessary ways. What I had hoped for of course, but wasn't fully

Storycatchers Afterglow
We had another spectacular night of stories this weekend, packing 130 people into The Draw and filling the walls with laughter, tears and everything in-between. One of my favorite things that comes out of Storycatchers Live nights is *more* stories, poems and art. So I'm going to be gathering them up and collecting them in an 'Afterglow' series. Have anything to share? Please send it in! Here is teller Katie Chicquette Adams' wonderful take on what we created together at our

Dan Storycatchers Live Holiday Edition: 'Awkward Family Gatherings'
We had a great time last Friday night swapping our awkward family and holiday stories. Listen as Dan relives two mishaps that give him a little humbug with his holiday. #storycatchersLive #storycatcherscommunity #storycatcherssessions

'Things That Go Bump In The Night...'
This past Saturday we dusted off {some of} the cobwebs, lit the candelabras and haunted the old Monestary, The Refuge, with our most ghouls and haunting tales to date. We covered everything from being locked in with corpses and bathrooms, dreams and nightmares, fear of the unknown and fear of the very known. Tales of reimagined nursery rhymes, devious books and catholic nuns took us from lighthearted to stark and sobering in the span of two hours. Every Storycatchers Live eve

Rebecca "What I Wish They Had Told Me" Storycatchers Live
Rebecca is one of my favorite returning storytellers of our Storycatchers Live events. Her wit and amazing life have led for some pretty hilarious tales. From tattoos she got every Wednesday as a girl, Craig's List ads she's put out, add sharing about being newly married to a zookeeper to her growing list of killer stories she's shared with us. And just in case you weren't able to join us at our September Storycatchers Live event, 'What I Wish They Had Told Me' you can take a
